Synopsis
Synopsis | Axelle is 9 years old and is spending the summer separated from her mother, who has left to record the sound of glaciers. She is handed over to her grandparents for the holidays. Axelle discovers the small village of Stiappa, lost in the Tuscan mountains. The village is haunted, more than inhabited, by around twenty elderly residents. There, she gets to know the shy Natale, her grandfather, and Paolina, her extravagant grandmother. She meets a group of children led by the strange Ambra. But everything changes when Paolina has a stroke. A great adventure begins for Axelle, who wants to save her grandmother at all costs and ward off the evil eye of her grandparents, even if it means finding someone else to die in her place. There's a curse hanging over the village: every summer and winter, someone has to die. |
