Luna, 19, is in a relationship and has a 2-month-old daughter. Charline, 17, lives in a student flat and has lots of friends her own age. Luna has not finished her secondary education and lives on social welfare. Charline is in senior year and dreams to travel abroad next year. They have nothing in common, yet they share a common life path: a childhood placement in care, an absent father, an incapacitated mother and a traumatic family history. How do they manage their lives on their own? How do they keep problems and dangers at bay and find their own happiness, without models or instructions?
